Recipe Contest Update

Hello Blog Pals,
I have been searching high and low for a recipe to submit for the recipe contest.  I have been searching high and low to find a recipe to make these chips.  When I was in Canada a couple of years ago I tried some of these chips and they were great!

Sadly, I could not find a recipe for the All Dressed chips but I did receive some great recipes from Jerry and Ben.  Thanks guys.

Remember our February 25th deadline is approaching soon.  Be sure to send them my way:

RVs for sale?

Happy Valentines Day!  My valentine treat this year wasn't chocolate, wasn't nice flowers but a big chicken sandwich.  My roommates know what I like.
Just hanging out near the window till the bill gets settled.

After scarfing down the chicken sandwich my roommates explained we were going shopping.  Last time I went shopping I thought my roommates were going to buy me an airplane.

Well, this is interesting.  I would not have guessed we would be shopping at an RV show.  Lots of animals at the show.
This guy is friendly.
This chair looks comfy.  I really appreciate the legroom.

A big RV certainly deserves a big TV.
This control panel looks complicated.  Better call Drunk Fox to help.
A fridge and an oven.  Chef Ben could make some great cookies in this RV.

What, no icemaker?  You got be kidding me.

A mysterious switch.  I wonder what it will do?
I think I can drive this safely.
OK, even a fox knows when he has to hand over the wheel to his Sekrebearies.
So, after I explored I met the stuffie sales team.  Apparently, there are sales stuffies that work shows like this.  This bear is pretty friendly.  You can see he is giving me a driving lesson on how to put the RV in gear.  The hard sell comes from the lion.  He won't stop roaring on and on about the features of this RV.  Who new lions could be so persistent?

After exploring this cool RV and thinking about all of the camping trips and adventures we could have I told my roommates I was going to buy this RV (the lion did a great job of telling me about all the features) but then I saw the price.

What??
Well this RV is clearly out of this fox's price range.  To think this RV doesn't even have an ice maker or a fireplace in it.

Oh wait, it DOES have a fireplace.  That is such a practical feature for west coast winters :)
No RVs for this little fox today.

A busy weekend for a little fox.

It's been a busy week for a little fox.  First off, I am beary excited that Jerry has entered as a guest judge, that being said I have had  many conversations with Kermit letting him know that he is an important celebearity as well.  Apparently, Kermit doesn't do well when other celebearities are involved.

The weather has been great the last few days.  It was almost 60 degrees on Friday and beary nice today as well.  I figured I better get to the mountains before all the snow melts.  It looks like there is plenty of snow to play in.  I am getting my scarf on and Sequoia is wondering what is taking so long.

The snow looks in good shape for snowshoeing.  There even seem to be tracks to follow.  Let's go!
A quiet respite on top of this mound of snow.  Me thinks a hot chocolate would be good right about now.

-----
Back home and back to work.  Being that the weather has warmed up it seems it's time to start getting the garden and roses ready for Spring.

I donned my supervision scarf and began the process of supervising my roommates.

Job #1: Cut back the roses.  The roses have grown a lot this winter and if we don't cut them back now they will overrun the yard.  These roses are thorny, best leave this job to my roommates.

Job #2: Pull out these rotted onions.  That's a dirty job so I will again leave this to my roommates.
Job # 3 and Final job:  Sample the herbs.  The rosemary did well over the winter.  I wonder if I can find any chicken recipes with rosemary as an ingredient?

Urgent Announcement: WE GOT JERRY!!!!!!!!

Jerry has not been bearnapped, however, he has agreed to help judge our recipe contest.  As you probably know  Jerry is struggling with the current weather situation....specifically a bleezard in his hometown.  According to Ben, "Garden Store Therapy" is not working for Jerry since it's too cold to plant anything.  To keep his mind away from the weather and the snow he has been shoveling Jerry  has graciously offered his tasting services for the recipe contest.
Now, those of you trying to win favor in the contest Jerry wants everyone to know he is an expert judge and taster in the following areas:
Hot chocolate consumption
Fresh vegetables from a local garden
Consumption of cookies
Desserts, desserts, and more desserts.

All of the stuffies at my roommates place are excited to have Jerry as a taster.  "Finally, this contest has a big name celebearity behind it." said Reindeer.
